Snook's Koko Girl
SOLD!!

Koko
is a wonderful addition to our family and adds so much fun to our lives. She
came from the same farm that we got Storm from as that breeder had decided to
concentrate on larger Curly horses.. I drove down to CA in a three day whirlwind
trip to pick her and her driving cart up. Yep, I did say driving cart.. I
finally got my fully trained driving pony. And I gotta tell you, driving is
LOADS of fun!!! We trot around the place with big, silly grins on our faces 100%
of the time.. I have even started teaching Anne and Daniel to drive Koko..
Daniel has to use a bag of feed to brace his feet on (until he gets taller) but
he does a good job of piloting the pony around the fields.
As if being
trained to drive wasn't enough, Koko is also a fully schooled English pony who
can jump heights up to 3 feet easily.. She has been Pony Clubbed for a number of
years and so giving her to Anne for a PC Mount was really a no brainer. It is so
great to see Anne's rapid progression now that she has a horse that knows more
then she does. It is also not unusual for Koko to be "borrowed" by
other Pony Club members for lessons occasionally.. Koko has proven herself to be
trustworthy and able to adjust herself easily to the level of rider on her
back.
As you can
see, Koko is a rather unusual color. I am told that she is a "silver
bay".. This means that she carries the silver dapple gene on top of a
regular bay color. This adds that odd tint to her body coat and is responsible
for her really neat silver colored mane and tail.
For now the
plan is for Koko to be a "using pony", taking the kids thru Pony
Club and driving us all around in the cart. We have had the most fun with
this little mare this year. Our plans are to go out and drive in a few parades.
As well as take Koko to the expo this year. Koko's 2004 colt *Beatlejuice
is such a sweetie.. He is one of the most mild mannered colts we have ever
had.. Someday perhaps we will breed Koko again, but for now she is the family
fun pony!! Everyone ought to have one like her.
