Charlie
was the first born out of *BB Harmony. I knew right away I had a special colt on
my hands. There is something about this boy that just speaks to everyone he
meets. You might call it supreme confidence. And yet, he is not snobbish or
difficult at all. Just very sure of himself and his place in life.. LOL of
course right now, his place in life is at the bottom of the pecking order in the
broodmare band.
Charlie is all grown up now, but he really hasn't changed a bit from when he was a baby.. Back then, one of his favorite things to do was to lead his mom over the jumps left up in the riding arena when they were turned out there. Charlie LOVES to jump.. He would always go jumping when he was a foal.. He used to jump out of his pasture just to go on a "walk about" on the farm. Some days he would jump out of his run in stall to go stand out in the rainy pasture. for some reason he never could figure out how to jump back in from the rain though.. The good news is that as a grown up horse he has stopped jumping out of pastures and is no different then any of the rest of the horses in the pasture in that regard.
Charlie
is a great riding horse both in the arena and out on the trails. He has basic
dressage training and also beginning jumping work. Out on the trails he is good
crossing water, bridges, ravines or anything else he comes across.. He is alert
without being spooky. We can always count on him to spot the deer long before we
do.
This horse has the most incredible hoofs on the farm. He has always been barefoot and handles even our tough logging roads with little trouble. He is a smooth coated Curly horse, but he has tested hypoallergenic with many allergy sufferers over the years. Charlie has been my personal riding horse since he was started under saddle at 4 yrs of age. He is well handled and a joy to have in the barnyard.
